Commander Ross isn't himself after returning from a mission to Mars. Slowly but surely he's morphing into a monstrous extraterrestrial monster intent on reproducing with human women! Using Eve, an alien clone, other scientists Laura Baker and Press Lennox track down Ross and his family following a series of grisly murders of women who have given birth to half-alien babies. Eve and Ross mate soon after Eve manages to get away.
A sequel is a natural follow-up to a film that finished on a A separate world, with no indication of the sequel bait's existence. It's great... Mars invader infects humans and its susceptibility changes depending on the setting.
